COVID-19
Coronavirus FYI:
Alerts–Updates!
In COVID-19, 'CO' stands for 'corona,' 'VI' for 'virus,' and 'D' for disease. Formerly, this disease was referred to as “2019 novel coronavirus” or “2019-nCoV”. There are many types of human coronaviruses including some that commonly cause mild upper-respiratory tract illnesses.
What Does COVID-19 Stand For?
What happens when you get the coronavirus disease?
People with COVID-19 generally develop signs and symptoms, including mild respiratory symptoms and fever, on an average of 5-6 days after infection (mean incubation period 5-6 days, range 1-14 days). Most people infected with COVID-19 virus have mild disease and recover.
Report of the WHO-China Joint Mission on Coronavirus Disease-PDF...
What are the symptoms of the coronavirus disease?
The most common symptoms are fever, cough, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, and even death. The period within which the symptoms would appear is 2-14 days.
People may experience:
-Cough
-Fever
-Tiredness
-Difficulty breathing (severe cases)
Who is most at risk for the coronavirus disease?
People of all ages can be infected by the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Older people, and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus.

How does it spread?
In cases of human-to-human transmission, the disease can spread through coughing and sneezing, personal contact with an infected person, touching an infected surface and then the mouth, nose or eyes, and, in rare cases, through fecal contamination.

Should I travel during the coronavirus disease outbreak?
People at higher risk for severe disease are older adults and people of any age with serious chronic medical conditions (such as heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes). CDC recommends that travelers at higher risk for COVID-19 complications avoid all cruise travel and nonessential air travel.

What can I do to prevent the coronavirus disease at home?
Remind everyone in your household of the importance of practicing everyday preventive actions that can help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
- Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily (e.g., tables, countertops, light switches, doorknobs, and cabinet handles) using a regular household detergent and water.

Homeless To Work And Into Housing
Homelesspreneurs are Homeless Entrepreneurs who have started a business or who are utilizing their talents, skills, and abilities to support themselves while homeless (living on the streets, in shelters or with someone). It's time to put the homeless to work and into housing. This means getting them off welfare, off of the streets and out of shelters where the stay or live. The help that they need is urgent. We've tried the old "Give to charity and let them deal with the indigent and homeless method". Has it worked? Has anything changed?
Now, it's to try something new. We've procrastinated long enough and the homeless are still homeless and without jobs (or sufficient income to support themselves). When will we as a people (Country, Religious believers, Politicians, etc.) stop denying, pretending and overlooking the fact, that our streets, towns, communities, cities, states, and country have a problem with homelessness? How many homeless men, women, children, teens, and families will we allow to live and die on the streets (your street/our streets) each day while we do nothing to help them, house them, employ them and pray for them. Is the reason that we do nothing is that we don't care? Or, is it that we do not have the time and or the means to get involved and help resolve the problem? Well, whatever the reason, someone is going to have to step up to the plate and get the problem resolved because it is not going to go away by itself.

The Plain Truth About Christmas
Where did we get Christmas? . . . from the Bible, or from paganism?
How–when did Christmas originate?
Encyclopedia Britannica, 1946 edition, has this: "Christmas (i.e., the Mass of Christ). . . . Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the church. . . ." It was not instituted by Christ or the apostles, or by Bible authority. It was picked up afterward from paganism.
The New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge explains clearly, in its article on "Christmas": "How much the date of the festival depended upon the pagan Brumalia (Dec. 25) following the Saturnalia (Dec. 17-24), and celebrating the shortest day in the year and the 'new sun,' . . . cannot be accurately determined. The pagan Saturnalia and Brumalia were too deeply entrenched in popular custom to be set aside by Christian influence. . . . The pagan festival with its riot and merrymaking was so popular that Christians were glad of an excuse to continue its celebration with little change in spirit and in manner. Christian preachers of the West and the Near East protested against the unseemly frivolity with which Christ's birthday was celebrated, while Christians of Mesopotamia accused their Western brethren of idolatry and sun worship of adopting as Christian this pagan festival."
Again from the Encyclopaedia Britannica: "Certain Latins, as early as 354, may have transferred the birthday from January 6th to December 25, which was then a Mithraic feast, the birthday of the unconquered SUN . . . The Syrians and Armenians, who clung to January 6th, accused the Romans of sun worship and idolatry, contending . . . that the feast of December 25th had been invented by disciples of Cerinthus. . . ."
The Encyclopedia Americana says: "The holly, the mistletoe, the Yule log . . . are relics of pre-Christian times." Of paganism!

Homelesspreneurs Wanted
Homelesspreneurs are Homeless Entrepreneurs who have started a business or who are utilizing their talents, skills and abilities to support themselves while homeless (living on the streets, in shelters or with someone).
Help Helps Organization recruits and educates the homeless on how to use what they have (whether it's knowledge, education, skills, talent, money, opportunity, assets, etc.) to continue or begin the self-supported lifestyle they are a custom to or new to. HHO purpose is to recycle (if we may use this term without offence) the homeless population and restore them to the society in which they live. Our services are free, because "We Trust in God" to provide ALL of our needs and to support His work. Our goal is to reduce greatly, eliminate, or END completely homelessness where we live and worldwide (God willing–and He is).
That said, we are asking any and all who are visiting our website and reading our various humanitarian project posts to make an effort to get involved and contribute (in any way that you can or as God places it upon your hearts) to help us and the homeless fight homelessness in America and the world. For we believe that each one can reach one and more, if we try our best to do so. So, please pray and ask God to tell or show you what His will and plan is for your life in helping to END homelessness and hunger in your community; city; state; country; and or in the world. Amen.

Is There A Solution To End Homelessness?
Yes, there is a solution to end homelessness. For decades, the issue of homelessness has plagued communities across America and the world. While temporary solutions are often implemented, the persistent problem of chronic homelessness continues to challenge society. But is there a way to finally end this cycle? According to Sister Lisa, the answer is a resounding yes, and the solution lies within each of us.
The core issue, Sister Lisa argues, is not a lack of resources, but a lack of collective will. "We have always known the solution to end chronic homelessness, we just have not done it," they state. This inaction stems from several factors: apathy, a reluctance to shoulder the financial burden, a lack of prioritization, and a fear of personal sacrifice.
Chronic homelessness, defined as long-term or repeated experiences of homelessness, presents unique challenges. Sister Lisa highlights the unintended consequences of some existing support systems, suggesting that traditional homeless shelters can inadvertently become "negative magnets" for individuals who exploit the system, relying on them for extended periods without taking steps towards self-sufficiency.
To address this complex issue, Sister Lisa proposes a multi-pronged approach:
- Refocus
Shelter Systems: Transform
shelters from long-term residences into temporary havens for those facing
genuine emergencies.
- Emergency
Shelters and Red Cross Assistance: Establish a designated emergency shelter in each
city region or district, or rely on the Red Cross for short-term emergency
stays for those experiencing temporary homelessness due to unforeseen
circumstances.
- Transitional
Housing Solutions: Introduce innovative housing options like
homeless apartment complexes or trailer parks, coupled with city, state,
or private grants to subsidize rent for individuals actively enrolled in
education or work programs.
- Housing
Vouchers and Referral Programs: Provide temporary rent or housing vouchers to
enable individuals to stay with family, friends, or in referral housing while
they regain financial stability.
- "Earn
While You Receive": Implement programs that allow recipients of
financial aid, housing vouchers, and food assistance to work as
contractors or volunteers for non-profit organizations, businesses, or the
city, preventing fraud, laziness, and waste of resources.
- Incentivize
Private Sector Involvement: Offer tax breaks or incentives to businesses and
private parties that hire or provide housing to individuals experiencing
homelessness.
"True compassion lies not just in alleviating hunger, but in offering refuge. Let us unite to construct homes that serve as havens for healing and beacons of hope. This is what Jesus would do and this is what God commands us to do." — Sister Lisa
The emphasizes that these solutions are not exhaustive, and welcomes further discussion and contributions from the community. "Homelessness still exists in the world as you know, and it's growing every minute we do nothing to prevent, control, or put an end to it," Sister Lisa writes. "And because Homelessness is costing taxpayers millions if not billions of dollars a year...If we could put the homeless to work ASAP by creating more jobs and affordable housing for them, then we can reduce greatly temporary homelessness and eliminate chronic Homelessness in America and in the world I believe."
For those who actively choose to remain homeless and refuse assistance, Sister Lisa echoes the sentiment that: "The hungry need food, but the homeless need housing...Get them an affordable place to live."
These suggested solutions aim to shift the focus from simply providing temporary relief to empowering individuals to achieve long-term self-sufficiency. By emphasizing accountability, responsibility, and opportunities for contribution, the proposed strategies seek to break the cycle of chronic homelessness.
This concludes with a powerful call to action, reminding readers that "Homelessness is a manmade problem that requires a solution from man, not God." By working together, with divine guidance, "Teamwork makes the plan work" to end homelessness much faster.
An Example On How to End Homelessness...
Help Us Help You And Others
If not us, then who? Who will help the homeless, hungry, poor, or needy in the manner in which they need help? God instructs us to...
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over."-Luke 6:38
"He that have pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he has given will He pay him again."-Proverbs 19:17
"We Give and God Provides All of Our Needs. Amen":
God wants us to give...
Love one another
Respect each other;
Show empathy;
Give of our time;
Pray for one another;
Help each other;
Express compassion;
Spread God's word ( the Holy Bible/KJV);
Donate your gifts, talents, skills, profession, knowledge, etc.
Give as God inspires you, offering what He places in your heart to those He directs you towards, regardless of the time, place, or gift.
If God does not lead you to give or assist someone, rest assured—you are not obligated to give anything to anyone. Find peace in this truth and release any feelings of guilt about not giving or helping, whether in a church setting or elsewhere. Trust in His perfect timing and divine guidance for what to give, when to give, and to whom. Amen. Hallelujah! Let us embrace joyful giving inspired by the heart, not giving driven by guilt.
